According to ESPN, team practice facilities will reopen on Friday in the states and municipalities that will be easing their stay-at-home regulations. Teams will still be prohibited from holding team or group activities, but voluntary individual workouts will be permitted.

Since most players have left their team’s city since the lockdown began, it is expected that teams with open facilities within a region with relatively eased lockdown rules could let opposing players living locally use their facilities on a limited basis.

Players in regions with continuing stay-at-home orders will reportedly have alternative arrangements made through league and franchises partnerships.

According to sources, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and team owners believe they need more time to determine how to resume the season. Furthermore, some general managers remain concerned with the idea of opening facilities as early as Friday, with many believing such an early date is too soon. This concern is shared among many medical experts.
