If you’re wondering where to find the best burgers in Hong Kong, we’ve got you covered. Money cannot buy happiness. But it can buy you something with a bun, a patty, tomato, lettuce and cheese, with preferably a side of French fries and a Coke or milkshake to wash it all down. This American food has become a popular favorite in Hong Kong, and there are many burgers in Hong Kong worthy of the calories. Here are some of our favorites to bring you the happiness and yummy points you deserve.

The All in Burger and Bar

The All in Burger and Bar is a specialist in all-things-burger and offers way more than your typical beef patty. Situated in the quiet community of Tai Hang, this spot is perfect to enjoy a night out indulging in one of their massive burgers with a pint of beer. The name of their restaurant suggests their all in attitude, and we can see that in the food they make. Their deep fried fish burger is bigger than your palm, and their cheese steak submarine is piled high with meat and sauce. The beef burger is spot on, but don’t miss out on specialties like the crab burger or smoked salmon sandwich.

Tim Fook Snacks

With a different scenery from All in Burger and Bar, this small local shop in Sham Shui Po operates like a tuck-shop without seats. You can get a chicken burger at as low as HK$20 or a Big Mac at just HK$26. Their low prices make them a popular burger shop in the neighborhood. Their patty has a distinctive taste of black pepper which complements the bun. Tim Fook Snacks also serves tastes of local Hong Kong culture, offering traditional snacks like deep fried fish siumai. If you are in the neighborhood looking for a quick grab, or you’re on a tight budget, Tim Fook will be your go-to place.

Another local shop in Prince Edward, Lee Hou Fuk Fast Food Shop is just one MTR stop away from Sham Shui Po. Lee Hou Fuk serves nine different kinds of burgers with prices ranging from just HK$22 to HK$33. If you are at a loss on which burger to order, Lee Hou Fuk is most famous for their molten cheese pork chop burger. The juicy pork chop is deep fried and served with mayonnaise and hot molten cheese spilling out from the middle.

C+ Burger

Around the corner of Water Street in Sai Ying Pun is C+ Burger, a small restaurant with only a few outdoor seats. Even though they call themselves C+, their homemade burger warrants an A+ grade. C+ Burger provides at least 10 different beef burgers to choose from. If you don’t feel like having beef, you can substitute your beef patty with chicken for free. Their classic beef burgers are also priced at an affordable HK$42.

If beef or chicken are too mainstream for your liking, go for their soft shell crab burger. This local burger shop may surprise you with their juicy patties and crunchy soft shell crabs. C+ Burger is also popular among local secondary school students and students from the University of Hong Kong as a convenient and scrumptious choice for a meal before or after classes.

Address: Shop 6, G/F, 10C Water Street, Sai Ying Pun, Western District

Last but not least, one cannot neglect the appeal of Five Guys when it comes to the best burgers in Hong Kong. There are eight types of burgers to choose from, and to make their burgers even more tempting, you can choose as many toppings as you like. There are 15 toppings, ranging from grilled mushrooms to jalapeño peppers, plus condiments from mayonnaise to A1 sauce. You can personalize your burger to your own taste to make it your perfect fit. There are increasingly more Five Guys restaurants opening in different districts in Hong Kong, so it is only becoming easier to taste their burger without needing to queue for too long. To make your experience at Five Guys more memorable, try their bacon milkshake. You don’t see bacon milkshakes everyday, and bacon makes everything better.
