Any weight loss diet will benefit from an arsenal of low calorie dessert recipes. One of the biggest reasons people struggle to lose weight is their inability to satisfy their sweet cravings. From candies to doughnuts to cookies to cakes – giving up these delicious desserts to shed fat may seem like a nightmare, especially in the beginning. However, there are a number of low calorie dessert recipes that will allow you to indulge in moderation.

Unless you suffer from certain medical conditions which make losing weight harder, the science of losing weight boils down to one thing: burning more calories than you consume. To ensure you are doing that, tracking the amount of calories you consume and burn is a great way to determine whether or not you are on the path to losing weight.

However, your diet plan does not have to be so strict that you eliminate all sweets to lose weight. Opting for sweeteners instead of sugar is a great way to satisfy your cravings since sweeteners contain almost no calories compared to sugar, which contains 4 calories per gram.

Another great tip to aid your weight loss journey is to start using spray oil instead of tablespoons of oil to cook your food. You do not need a tablespoon of oil to cook your vegetables or meat, 1-2 sprays are usually enough. Doing this can save you hundreds of calories as one tablespoon of oil contains around 120 calories. With certain strategies, it is possible to eat more and lose weight.

To make the process of shedding fat easier, we’ve compiled 5 low calorie dessert recipes that are easy to make and will satisfy your sugar cravings throughout your weight loss journey.
