With the monsoon season coming to Hong Kong, your outdoor summer plans with friends or family might be canceled. Although we love a good true crime docuseries, spending the summer at home bingeing on Netflix documentaries can give you cabin fever after a while. That is where our favorite Hong Kong escape rooms come in!

Entertaining yourself and your group at some of the best escape rooms in Hong Kong has plenty of benefits. They are indoors, and you don’t have to plan your own activities. Plus, they are challenging, and each of them is entirely different from one another. We’ve compiled some of the most fun – and challenging – escape rooms in Hong Kong so you can test your wits with your friends and family this summer.

LOST Hong Kong

With a total of five branches in the city, LOST Hong Kong is the most frequented escape room in Hong Kong. LOST’s theme rooms vary in all the locations of Mong Kok, Causeway Bay, Central and others, and each location provides rooms with different levels of difficulty.

Their themes include the mysterious Egyptian pharaoh’s Golden Mask; the mystic journey to finding potion ingredients in The Amazon – Ayahuasca; solving a mystery in The Genius Escaper and many more. The rooms are thoughtfully designed with props like old TVs (complete with static noise), cracked mirrors and mysterious storage boxes. To further enhance the ambience, the rooms are often dimly lit, which usually makes the participants even more eager to solve the mystery.

To escape, your group will have to make its way through various tasks including riddles, puzzles, decoding messages or finding hidden objects. If the difficulty is getting to you, don’t worry. You have a set number of hints you can request that will be given by the staff members. So, what are you waiting for? Come test your wits at Lost Hong Kong with a group of your cleverest friends.
