People wait in line for hours to get their hands on the new Omega-Swatch collab, MoonSwatch

If you’ve been seeing videos of crowded shopping malls around the world this weekend, it’s been for a watch … but not just any watch. From Hong Kong to London and everywhere in between, people lined up to get the new edition of the Omega Speedmaster.

The new watch – called the MoonSwatch – is a collaboration between Swatch and Omega and is meant to bridge the gap between affordable watches and premium ones.

But from the sounds of it, some people were willing to do more than others for the new cheap watch. While plenty of people worldwide waited in line for hours, in Geneva, the crowd was rowdy enough to warrant a police presence, and one person was even arrested in the mix.
