Cinco de Mayo is coming up at the same time that Hong Kong is further easing COVID restrictions this week. The holiday, literally “the fifth of May,” celebrates Mexico’s victory against the French in 1862 – and more broadly around the world, it celebrates all things Mexican, usually in the form of delicious tacos and stiff margaritas. And, luckily for you, we know just the place to celebrate both of these exciting developments here in the city.

Te Quiero Mucho, or TQM, is a bit of Mexico in the heart of Hong Kong for all city dwellers. This two-story restaurant overlooks the vibrant streets of Sheung Wan and serves delectable Mexican cuisine alongside artisanal alcoholic beverages.

This Cinco de Mayo, you and your mini fiesta of four can all enjoy their Grande es Mejor menu, which includes an extra-large serving of their infamous nachos stack followed by a platter of chicken sopes and 6.5-inch tortilla tacos – enough to feed a hungry group of four. For HK$250, you and the amigos can add a pitcher of sangria or one of their hit new margarita flavors that the restaurant’s bartenders have been busy creating. Salud!

This is all available for HK$890 on weekdays only until the end of June. So, head on over to TQM’s website to make a reservation now. ¡Feliz Cinco de Mayo, amigos!
