Art Basel is back!

Hong Kong Art Basel is back with its largest show since 2019, bringing together 177 galleries from 32 countries and territories across Asia, Europe, North and South America and Africa. The fair is committed to showcasing exceptional art from its host city and across Asia and Asia Pacific. Over two-thirds of participating galleries have exhibition spaces in the region, with 33 galleries having exhibition spaces in Hong Kong.

The fair will once again feature all its special sectors, including Encounters, Kabinett, Conversations and Film.

Encounters, curated for the sixth time by Alexie Glass-Kantor, will feature 14 large-scale installations under the theme 'This present, moment'. For the first time, Encounters will present work not only inside the fair but in one of the public hearts of Hong Kong, at Pacific Place.

Conversations, curated by Stephanie Bailey, will create a platform for dynamic dialogues between members of the international art world. Highlights from the program include discussions on the future of the biennale, synergies between public and private patronage, navigating multipolarity from an institutional perspective and reflections on solidarity beyond feminism.

The Film program, curated by Li Zhenhua, will feature eight screenings and 29 video works by artists from across the globe. The program will launch with a special screening of 'MEMORIA' by Palme-D'or winning director Apichatpong Weerasethakul. The short film program highlights include 'Runaway Girls' by Inci Eviner and '45th Parallel' by Lawrence Abu Hamdan.
