US House approves legislation to remove Confederate statues from Capitol

On Wednesday, the United States House of Representatives passed legislation by a bipartisan vote of 305-113 to remove Confederate statues from the National Statuary Hall Collection in the US Capitol. Seventy-two Republicans voted for the legislation with the Democrats. The 113 Representatives who voted against the legislation were all Republicans.
