The founder of Frapp, India’s largest marketplace for gig workers, Niranjan Nakhate chatted to The Millennial Source about how one decision he made shaped his entire future.

What advice would you give your younger self?

Don’t beat yourself up about the small mistakes you make and most things that you think are important are not relevant.

What are three words you would use to describe your character/ you as a person?

Calm, confident, upbeat.

Describe your mind using three words

Curious, thoughtful, strong.

How did you feel when you realised you could go into entrepreneurship full time?

I was always keen on starting something and in fact I’ve even tried to start something in college but post college, after working for a bit Armaan and I got the chance to work on something together. It felt really empowering to see that something which was just an idea in your head come to life and become something real.

What’s one critical moment that has shaped your life?

I remember when we were just starting up I had to make a choice between continuing on working on this idea initially or do an MBA from a good college I’d actually secured admission in so I decided not to tell my parent about getting that admission and continued pursuing I think that decision is something I’m proud of even today, and I’m glad I made that decision.

What’s something you’re currently working on achieving?

This year I’ve made a resolution to actually learn the piano.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Neurosurgeon. Yeah, that was the idea when I was probably six years old. I don’t know how, why, but yeah.

Describe your entrepreneurship journey using three words

Challenging, Learning, Fun.

What’s your spirit animal? And why?

I’ve never been asked about my spirit animal before but I would say polar bear. It’s resilient, aggressive when required, very few left in the world.

Screen time or no screen time?

Screen time.

Introduce yourself

I’m Niranjan and I’m the founder of Frapp, India’s largest marketplace for companies to hire gig workers.
