China reports 11 new COVID-19 cases

On May 24, the National Health Commission (NHC) announced that China had recorded 11 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on the mainland.

This announcement comes after China reported one day of no new coronavirus cases for the first time since the pandemic began late last year.
According to the statement, all 11 cases were imported from abroad. Within the 11, 10 cases appeared in Inner Mongolia and one in Sichuan.
No deaths or suspected cases were reported.
The report brings the total number of cases in China to 82,985 with the death toll remaining unchanged at 4,634.
