COVID deaths have surpassed 6 million, and we’re now in the third year of the pandemic. This is compared to the Spanish Flu in 1918, which killed at least 50 million worldwide.

Back home, though, on Monday, Hong Kong saw 25,150 new COVID cases with 280 deaths. 161 were within the 24-hour period, while 119 were delayed recordings. According to data from John Hopkins and Our World in Data, the city reported the most deaths per million people globally in the week to March 6.
