Asia has been a bit slower to “live with the virus” compared to the West, but it’s getting there. Yesterday, Singapore came out to say that it would lift quarantine requirements for all vaccinated travelers from April. This comes at a time when Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong, which saw 13,074 cases on Thursday, are all easing their restrictions as well.

Even though things have been painted pretty doom and gloom for Hong Kong, with many asking whether Singapore will overtake it, a recent report said that the city held third place as the World’s Financial Center, trailing behind New York and London. Singapore dropped to sixth place.

Key comments:

“This will reconnect Singapore with the world. It will give a much-needed boost to businesses, particularly the tourism sector, and help Singapore reclaim its position as a business and aviation hub,” said Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
