2023 is off to a sweet start with cookies from Hong Kong’s favorite American bake shop.
Located on the lower ground floor of Admiralty Pacific Place is a pop pink Butter Cookies truck serving freshly baked, classic all-American cookies.
You heard us right. Butter’s expanding into cookies.
The quintessentially American cake shop, which started with just 10 items, has now expanded their offerings beyond just delicious cakes into gooey, warm baked goods.
Now, into the juicy details: There are three signature flavored cookies – Chocolate Chunk, Peanut Butter and Lemon Crinkle. Each cookie is priced at HK$25 per piece, HK$125 for half a dozen or HK$250 for a dozen.
The whole range of flavors is set to arrive at a later date, with Ginger Molasses, Butter’s Classic, M&M and Chewy Oatmeal Raisin all joining the menu.
Karys Plaxe, Butter’s executive chef, is an Arizona-native pastry chef who has worked under industry heavyweights like Francisco Miyoga. She has been part of the Black Sheep family since 2017 and is responsible for overseeing the pastry programme and baking up a constant cycle of new and beloved creations for us in the city.
Plaxe was working at New York's renowned Daniel Boulud's when she met Noah Carroll and became her co-chef at Dominique Ansel Bakery, best known for the invention of the cronut.
Fast forward two years, she’s now dubbed “The Queen of Butter” and has been at the forefront of Butter's evolution, creating made-from-scratch slices that bring back all the feels of classic diner desserts.
