Get ready for August’s Women of Hong Kong’s (WOHK) member meet-up! This event will take place in The Daily Tot, Soho, and is a guaranteed judgement-free zone to be yourself.
You'll broaden your horizons with a night of fun, socializing, an opportunity to meet some fresh new faces and a way to gain friendships and build business connections.
The founder of this community, Sarah Vee, built this space for women in Hong Kong to feel safe and support one another. “Our goal is to create a supportive and inclusive space for women in Hong Kong to connect and unlock opportunities,” says Vee.
For example, the volunteer-led group TALK, a support group for sexual assault survivors, has used WOHK to raise awareness of their cause and allow English speakers in Hong Kong to have a community that they can rely on. With over 7,000 sign-ups across the city, WOHK is filled with ambitious women united by their goals, offering each other support and respect.
With the recent spike of members joining WOHK, this event will make use of stickers to ease the distinction between first-time members and regulars, making sure you feel part of the group and people come to talk to you! (So if you’re an introvert, don’t worry) Eventgoers will be given a party bag with a drink coupon (non-alcoholic options available), an identification sticker, and one gift bag containing beauty and cosmetic goodies. The dress code is business casual/chic and comfortable, so get your girl boss pants on and join the event!
