After months of anticipation, Women of Hong Kong(WOHK) has finally opened up its lounge to members to create an environment that promotes personal growth, fosters a culture of unity and embraces diversity and different perspectives. WOHK’s journey to this space has been a bumpy ride, explains founder Sarah Vee exclusively to TMS. But despite setbacks and almost a complete end to the project, "members of the community did not give up."

"The one thing this journey has reinforced is that there is power in numbers," says Vee. "It showed the amount of help that the community was willing to put into pulling this off. From painting to building furniture, none of this could’ve been done without the unity of the WOHK members."

Upon entering the Women’s Lounge, you’ll enter the reception, which will be used to display the businesses and products of members, showcasing the variety and depth of talent this community is made of. The lounge and common room areas are the perfect spaces to cultivate creativity and connections. With a main table for collaborating, individual tables are also available to emulate co-working spaces. Besides collaborative working spaces, there’s also a meeting room which is perfect for business meetings and events.

If you’ve been tired from working all day and need of a change in scenery, take a step outside to the terrace and enjoy the vista. In this unique area, members can connect with the outdoors, getting a breath of fresh air and even continuing work on projects. Whether your preference is to work bathed in the sun's warmth or just use the space for a peaceful pause in time, the terrace will be just what you’re looking for.

Lounge hours will work on a daily scheduled basis. That includes – Business Monday, Game Tuesday, Wednesday Workshops, Thursday Talks, Friday Socials, Saturday (Family & Friends) and Sunday (Is for giving back). Operating hours will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the weekends.

Acknowledging the busy working hours and hustle and bustle of daily life, “solitude hours” will be a chance to set aside a chill time for yourself, where you can just vibe without phone calls or noisy notifications. Use this time to tune into your thoughts, feelings and the stuff you’ve got to get done. On the other hand, there are also “buzz hours.” Think of this as the time to chat openly, toss around ideas and make connections with coworkers, buddies and pals. Whether you're running a meeting, diving into a friendly debate or just having a good old catch-up, this set time to hang out with others can be a real game-changer for forming meaningful connections and reaching goals together.

Whether you're setting up a big-deal business meeting, throwing together a workshop that'll make brains tick or rounding up your fellow trailblazers for some brainstorming, these spaces are like your playground to get creative and connect with others. While the spot is all about being a chill hangout for members, it's important to say that the doors are wide open for making new connections. All they have to do is snag a venue pass or scoop up an event ticket and they're in!
