In the bustling metropolis of Hong Kong, where culinary diversity knows no bounds, the intersection of good food and sustainability has become more and more important.
Amid Hong Kong's growing journey towards a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future, WOW Burger's new plant-based bowls are an exciting addition to Hong Kong's F&B scene. Each bowl is a curated blend of flavors, textures and global inspirations, resulting in an exciting and adventurous journey for your palate.
For example, there’s the WOW Katsu Bowl, which features tender WOW "chicken" served with house-made Japanese curry generously poured over a bed of rice. It comes with edamame and pickled ginger, creating a delightful fusion of flavors inspired by Japanese cuisine.
In the Mediterranean Bowl, you'll find savory WOW "lamb" paired with creamy tzatziki, fresh slices of pita bread, a crisp garden salad, velvety hummus and a sprinkle of crumbled feta cheese. This bowl captures the essence of Mediterranean flavors.
Now for those who enjoy Korean cuisine, the WOW Korean Bowl is a favorite. It includes tasty WOW bulgogi "beef," paired with a mix of refreshing elements like crisp spinach, zesty radish salad, fluffy rice, crunchy lotus root, fresh bean sprouts, and a hint of spiciness from Gochujang sauce. It's a satisfying blend of Korean flavors in one bowl.
These plant-based bowls add to WOW Burger's already impressive menu, which includes a variety of protein-packed vegetarian burgers, fries, tots and plant-based milkshakes, all infused with classic yet localized Hong Kong flavors.
“We want our offerings of sustainable food choices to encourage a shift in the Hong Kong F&B industry towards more environmentally friendly practices. We’ve all got a part to play in saving our planet, so why not start with quality food alternatives, allowing our customers, regardless of dietary preferences, to enjoy nutritious, quality but sustainable meals,” explains co-founder Zacki Hamid.
