Hong Kong MTR's "Mr Doodle in Space" exhibition

Embark on a captivating journey at Hong Kong Station's Living Art Stage from today to December 3 with the "Mr Doodle in Space" exhibition – a collaboration between MTR Corporation and Pearl Lam Galleries. This immersive experience aims to transform passengers' journeys and foster community unity through the enchantment of art.

Witness the whimsical world of Mr Doodle as the completed spaceship installation, adorned with his iconic black and white creations, takes center stage. Doodles on the walls and columns of the Living Art Stage invite passengers to explore the extraordinary.

Sam Cox, the creative force behind Mr Doodle, burst onto the art scene in 2017, constructing DoodleLand – a visual marvel of characters and patterns. His creations, extending beyond traditional canvases, radiate wonder, happiness and love.

“I enjoy seeing happiness on people’s faces when they look at my doodles,” Mr. Doodle explains to TMS. “My art makes me happy, and if it can make someone else feel the same, my goal is achieved. I also love to see how my art inspires little doodlers to express their emotions and thoughts through art. I can’t ask for more.”

“There isn’t any particular inspiration behind my doodles; they are just born from the compulsion to draw and consume surfaces,” he says. “I haven’t ever experienced a situation where I don’t know what to draw or ‘artist’s block.’ I think you can always create something; you can just start with a random, abstract shape and build from there. It’s just a case of learning not to be too much of a perfectionist.”
