Eaton HK's The Astor invites food enthusiasts on a global culinary adventure with its upcoming buffet, "Tropical Fanta-SEA," launching February 19.
Offering over 200 dishes inspired by vibrant Southeast Asian flavors and beyond, the feast promises a diverse selection. From live steamed lobster to grilled shrimp lemongrass and comforting Thai street food, guests can also indulge in Vietnamese stir-fried crab, Thai steamed fish, seafood Pad Thai, beef rendang and Korean fried chicken.
The buffet at The Astor at Eaton Hong Kong also features classic favorites from Chinese, Western, and Cold Salad stations. Diners can indulge in beloved dishes such as dim sum, kung pao prawns, typhoon shelter crab claw as well as honey garlic pork ribs. The culinary journey extends to the Asian beef tartare from the Chinese Live Station, complemented by specially crafted sauces inspired by Southeast Asia.
The western station boasts a live carving station presenting roast Australian chuck roll with gravy, Italian pork belly porchetta, chicken ballotine with shrimp paste, and indulgent hot dishes such as red wine braised beef brisket and seafood bouillabaisse.
The culinary tour also encompasses dedicated stations offering exquisite renditions of popular snacks and dishes from Japan and India, celebrating the diversity of Japanese cuisine with tempura, sashimi, robatayaki snacks and udon and soba dishes.
The journey then concludes on a sweet note with Southeast Asian specialty desserts like mandarin agar pudding in ring, sticky rice with mango, mango flower tart, green tea and red beans roll cake and more.
