The 96th Academy Awards, aka the Oscars, kicked off on Sunday, March 10, in Los Angeles, as Hollywood's elite gathered for the most prestigious awards show in the film industry. The ongoing Barbenheimer rivalry was finally settled, with "Oppenheimer" scooping up seven awards. But "Barbie" star Ryan Gosling still smashed in his rendition of the film's hit, "I'm Just Ken." John Cena made a nude appearance, and Emma Stone won her second Oscar while also experiencing a wardrobe malfunction. Let's dive into the details.

The Oscar-nominated song, "I'm Just Ken," was performed by Ryan Gosling in a bright all-pink rhinestone tuxedo, accompanied by other Kens, where they brought the Kenergy in a choreographed dance. They were also joined by one of the songwriters, Mark Ronson, plus there was a cameo guitar solo by Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash. The award for best original song went to "Barbie" for Billie Eilish's "What Was I Made For?"

To announce the winner for best costume designer, wrestler and actor John Cena entered the stage stark naked, save from him holding a strategically placed large envelope and Birkenstocks. Cena opened with, "Costumes, they are so important," as the audience erupted with laughter, and host Jimmy Kimmel then proceeded to hand Cena some clothing as they went on to present the award. The award for best costume designer went to "Poor Things," and the film later won the prize for make-up and hairstyling, too.

Emma Stone won her second Oscar for playing a woman given the brain of a baby in the surreal comedy "Poor Things," but as she walked on stage to collect her award, she told the audience, "My dress is broken; I think it happened during 'I'm Just Ken.'" After Stone's acceptance speech, she asked everyone to not look at the back of her dress as she left the stage and later got sewn back in.

All in all, it was a very exciting night, but let's get into more about the awards themselves. "Oppenheimer," about the father of the atomic bomb, won seven Oscars, besting "Barbie" and finally giving renowned filmmaker Christopher Nolan his first Oscar. The film won best picture, best actor (Cillian Murphy), best supporting actor (Robert Downey Jr.), best director, best original score, best cinematography and best film editing. "Poor Things" closely followed by four Oscars, and best animated feature went to "The Boy and The Heron," by Japanese animator and co-founder of the cherished animation house Studio Ghibli, Hayao Miyazaki.
