Jimmy's Kitchen, an iconic Hong Kong establishment, has reopened its doors in the historic Pedder Building, marking a return to the heart of Central. Under Executive Chef Russell Doctrove, the restaurant marries nostalgia with innovation, offering classic and contemporary British cuisine.
The new location, just steps away from its original spot on Theatre Lane, offers seating for up to 160 diners across various dining spaces, including a casual lounge, cocktail bar, crudo bar, main dining rooms as well as a private dining area.
Speaking on preserving classic dishes while adding his modern flair, Chef Doctrove, a Hong Kong native, explained, “It was challenging to put a menu together because we had a range of regulars at Jimmy’s, and then we also had to try to appeal to a younger demographic many of whom have never heard of the Jimmy’s brand.
We picked the most iconic dishes to Jimmy’s and then also bringing some new dishes that we think complement those quite well.”
From timeless favorites like the Chicken Supreme 'Kiev' to the beloved Jimmy's Chicken Madras, the menu reflects a rich culinary heritage spanning decades. The Main Bar features a curated wine selection and innovative East-West cocktails. At the same time, JK on the 5th, a satellite café and bar within the same building, offers exclusive whiskies and Champagnes.
