Hong Kong’s Discovery Bay is known for its fun leisure activities and scenic mountain and harbor views. And Easter is a great time to keep this destination on your radar. This year marks the 17th edition of its annual “Discovery Bay Easter Egg Hunt on the Beach,” which includes fun for the whole family, like an Easter egg hunt on Tai Pak Beach, a Funland filled with bouncy castles and slides, cycling e-sports and more. You can also turn it into a staycation escape, as the Auberge is offering an exclusive room package with event perks. So, read on for all the details on how to celebrate Easter this year at Discovery Bay.
Join an Easter egg hunt on the beach
Bring the whole family along, especially young adventurers aged 3 to 10, for this two-day event, where kids can go egg hunting on the beach for prizes. Participants will be divided into three age groups (3-4 years old, 5-6 years old and 7-10 years old). The Easter Egg Hunt Pass sets participants up with a welcome goodies bag with souvenirs and a shovel set, which the kids can use to find hidden eggs on the beach that can be redeemed for an Egg Prize. Grand Eggs are a special find that can be redeemed for a Grand Egg Prize, each valued at above HK$1,000. And to promote environmental sustainability, the colorful Easter eggs used for the game are made of natural plant-based materials and will be reused in the future.
On top of all the egg-hunting fun, the pass includes a set of game passes for the Discovery Bay Plaza Inflatable Funland and Discovery Bay Wong-Kam-Po Cycling Funland. Everyone who joins in the hunt will also be awarded a Certificate of Excellence for participation.
