Uoharu, a much-loved Japanese izakaya in Hong Kong, has just rolled out a new menu for the spring and summer seasons at its Pacific Place, Admiralty and Wellington Street, Central locations. Embracing the "Less is More" philosophy, Uoharu has combined premium, seasonal ingredients with simple, yet sophisticated culinary techniques in a setting designed to evoke the warmth and camaraderie of traditional Japanese izakayas.

The updated Core Menu and Chef’s Recommendations introduce a variety of Japanese izakaya favorites. Highlights at Pacific Place include Grilled Foie Gras with Pineapple on Toast, Sea Urchin and Wagyu Kamameshi and Nagoya-Style Fried Chicken Wings. The Wellington Street branch features new bites like the Japanese Egg Roll with Mentaiko and Deep-fried Chicken Cheese Roll.

Beyond the food, Uoharu's ambiance pays homage to traditional izakayas, complete with a low-hanging door for guests to bow upon entering, which is traditionally done to symbolize equality. The open robatayaki station and sashimi bar allow diners to watch the chefs' skills up close, while traditional Seared Bonito performances add a unique cultural experience to the evening.
