Jimmy’s Kitchen has reopened in Hong Kong's Central district, bringing its traditional British fare with a contemporary twist to the historic Pedder Building. Managed by Epicurean Group, the restaurant now sports a cocktail bar with a new bar menu and daily Happy Hour fun.
Executive Chef Russell Doctrove is behind the refreshed menu that features easy-to-share dishes like Homemade Cornbread with French salted butter, Crispy Pork Crackling and Prawn Cocktail. A standout is the Crispy Coronation Fried Chicken, offering a fresh take on curry-marinated chicken accompanied by mango chutney mayo, almond praline and apricot jam.
Oyster fans will be happy to hear that freshly shucked oysters, including palate-openers like Belon "1930" No. 000 (HK$78/pc) and Irish Rock Oyster No. 1 (HK$48/pc) varieties, are featured as permanent mainstays alongside rotating seasonal picks.
The drink menu features over 150 wines, a creative Martini selection and signature cocktails like the Far East Mule and Canton Old Fashion. Unique to Jimmy’s is the Strawberry Omelet cocktail, inspired by a classic 1928 dessert, and the Jimmy’s Borscht Mary, which gives a spirited twist to the traditional beetroot soup.
