Snack Baby, Hong Kong’s newest gelateria and bar, has officially opened on Hollywood Road. Hong Kongers can now stop in for indulgent gelato, including lactose-free and dairy-free options, alongside classic cocktails and sophisticated non-alcoholic drinks. Nestled between Shin Hing and Mee Lun Streets, the venue provides a cool escape from summer under the shade of banyan trees.

With the guidance of gelato expert Bas van Haaren, Snack Baby makes its gelato from scratch using fresh, premium ingredients, ensuring it's perfectly smooth and creamy. With a glass and stainless steel pozzetti, the gelato is kept at the ideal temperature. Customers can also watch the day’s flavors being churned behind the glass-walled lab. The shop offers 14 rotating flavors, including Mint Stracciatella with lactose-free milk and Peanut Butter Crunch made with cashew and peanut milk.

“Everyone loves gelato and ice cream, but many people have a lactose intolerance or adopt plant-based lifestyles, which means forgoing fresh dairy products. At Snack Baby, we overcome those hurdles by providing a wide selection of lactose-free and dairy-free alternatives alongside traditional dairy options,” shares founder JC Lombard.

Head Bartender Sebastian “Baz” Robinson has also crafted five signature cocktails and four No-Lo ABV options. Highlights include the Alpine Spritz and the coffee-based Affogato Baby.

“We wanted to pay homage to Aperitivo hour which, like gelato, hails from the north of Italy,” explains Robinson.
