Duan Chun Zhen, known for its Taiwanese beef noodles, has opened its fifth Hong Kong location at The Southside in Wong Chuk Hang. To celebrate, the new branch offers a special menu of marinated “lo-shui” dishes inspired by Taiwan’s night markets and a promotion until July 4 of a complimentary side dish and a Chatime beverage upgrade.

The new specialties include a rich lo shui marinade featuring beef tripe, slow-braised beef shank, simmered egg, dried tofu and mushrooms. Other options are Marinated Beef Shank, Marinated Pork Belly and Marinated Duck Tongue. Vegetarian choices include Marinated Tofu and an assorted marinated platter.

Duan Chun Zhen’s signature beef noodles take 18 hours to prepare, and the broth is made from 23 spices and herbs. Standouts include Beef Noodles with Shank, Tripe, Tendon & Sliced Flank and Rich Chicken Broth Noodles with Drumstick. Signature items not to be missed include Sanxing Scallion Pancake and Sweet Potato Fries with Taiwanese Plum Powder.

The 68-seat restaurant combines traditional Chinese elements with contemporary styling. Diners at the new location before July 4 will receive a complimentary side dish and a Chatime drink upgrade.
