This summer, Cantina in Tai Kwun is offering another culinary experience in Central with its new cicchetti brunch, "Exploring Italy, One Bite at a Time." Located in the historic Tai Kwun complex, Cantina's new Italian dining experience allows guests to customize their meals from a tick-box menu featuring 23 iconic cicchetti dishes. If you're unfamiliar, cicchetti is essentially Venice's answer to Spain's tapas – an arrangement of small bites and side dishes.
Guests can savor three types of cicchetti: Bruschetta Feast, Affettati Feast and Classic Italian dishes. The Bruschetta Feast includes options like Pachino Tomatoes and Nduja, while the Affettati Feast offers cured meats like mortadella and prosciutto. Classic cicchetti features sausages in tomato sauce, baby octopus and the standout Tripe alla Parmigiana.
For mains, choose from Homemade Ravioli with burrata, Fusilli with Genovese, Risotto with truffle, Chef's Crispy Lasagna, beef cheek with mashed potatoes, Breaded veal cutlet and Halibut with Mediterranean sauce. The meal ends with a dessert platter featuring Chocolate pear cake, Cannolo, Lemon tart and Semifreddo ai frutti di Bosco, along with the Tableside Tiramisu. Are we stoking your cravings for Italian cuisine? Sorry, not sorry.
The brunch runs on Saturdays and Sundays, with free-flow drink options starting at HK$200. Ladies enjoy complimentary prosecco on Saturdays, and children are entertained with magic shows on Sundays.
