Justice Without Borders (JWB), a non-profit focused on protecting migrant domestic workers' rights, will hold its annual fundraiser, "Happy Hour on a Mission," on September 3 at Soho House in Hong Kong. The event aims to unite legal partners, donors and advocates in support of JWB's "Bringing Justice Home" initiative, which is on a mission to empower migrant women who work and support their families, even when they return home.

"They provide us with the gift of time, allowing Hong Kong residents to focus on our careers and families. Yet, at every step of the way, these women can experience exploitation. We have the responsibility to ensure they have access to justice and fair treatment,” shared Cathy Heeley, JWB’s incoming Executive Director.

Attendees can participate in a trivia competition and auction, with proceeds supporting JWB’s ongoing initiatives, such as the “Sisters Helping Sisters” Hong Kong Caseworker Training Programme. This program recently trained 27 union leaders to provide legal aid to migrant workers, with plans to reach 10,000 workers annually.

Reflecting on the community's role, JWB’s Hong Kong Co-Heads, Celine Chan and Jaime Wong, said, “Over the past seven years, the Hong Kong community has generously been helping us to bring our programs to life and make a lasting impact on the lives of migrant domestic workers in the city.”
