After measuring safety protocols and a finalized rescheduling of the Insomniac event, the Electric Daisy Carnival 2021 has officially been announced. What first originated as an underground warehouse party in South Central Los Angeles has now become one of the most internationally acclaimed dance music festivals in the world.

Thanks to CEO and founder, Pasquale Rotella, this multiday festival famously known as “EDC ” has been pushing the boundaries of the overall experience. If you think you were solely coming here to dance the night away to some of the best electronic dance music in the world, think again.

In addition to the vast variety of EDM you can listen to at this event, EDC has been pushing the boundaries of what organizers have been able to do with technology, innovation and a little bit of imagination. Artsy three-dimensional super structures tower over crowds engulfed in flashing neon-colored lights, while other parts of the festival include a range of unique interactive art installations.

Some may call this sensory-overload, but seasoned veterans that have been following this scene since day one would call it home. What started out as a single day and night in September has now evolved into a full three-day extravaganza you can experience across a handful of locations across the world. Electric Daisy Carnival 2021 is officially back.

Through the first decade that Electric Daisy Carnival was established, the festival had been one of Los Angeles’s biggest annual electronic dance music festivals to have hit the city. Because EDC had become one of the most familiar brand names in Insomniac’s scope of events, it’s popularity brought thousands of people following this growing culture. By 2010, the event drew their biggest crowd in LA. By 2011, almost a quarter million people followed to their relocated venue at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

This three-day music festival now held in Las Vegas, Nevada, would be the start of something even greater and more breathtaking than ever witnessed in Los Angeles. Hosting nearly half a million attendees over the span of three days, EDC Las Vegas became one of the largest dance music festivals in the world in 2020. After a couple postponements and a sold out show, the dates and waitlist of Electric Daisy Carnival 2021 have finally been announced. On Oct. 22-23, Las Vegas will be celebrating 25 years under the electric sky.

Bringing back Insomniac’s popular festival to Latin American grounds, this upcoming event will be the eighth edition of EDC Mexico since the debut in 2014. EDC Mexico always brings high spirits and has been a popular way of expanding Electric Daisy Carnival. Past artists like Armin Van Buuren, Diplo and David Guetta have been featured here and are always prepared to embrace the music tastes that EDC Mexico tends to embrace.

EDC Mexico has become one of the largest dance music festivals in Mexico’s history with six stages and more than 100 artists in Mexico’s largest city. If you are planning a trip to Mexico and need something to add to your agenda, Carnaval de la Margarita Electrica (EDC) has officially been announced for Sept. 3-5, 2021.

With close to 20,000 attendees, the first coming of EDC to Orlando was in 2011 and was located at Tinker Field, an outdoor stadium in the heart of Orlando, Florida. Being Insomniac’s first festival in Orlando, the expectations were set high, and locals were anticipating something big. Soon they’d experience a stacked lineup full of heavy hitters in the electronic dance music culture, introducing Florida attendees to some of the best music in the industry.

Renowned DJs like Tiesto and Skrillex set the bar for the first year, and what was to come after were another 8 festivals with more popular artists performing. Showcasing everything from heavy bass to dubstep to electro house and trance, EDC Orlando made a huge impact on the growing festival culture at the time. The buzz of the event quickly spread, and now you’ll be able to experience EDC Orlando this Nov. 12-14.

One of the newest expansions of Insomniac’s Electric Daisy Carnival was going to stretch to the Western parts of Europe for another three day celebration. Due to the pandemic and concerns over travel restrictions in certain countries, EDC Portugal got pushed back to 2022. Although the status, dates and lineups of the debut still remain uncertain, be on the lookout for Europe’s first-ever EDC takeover.
