LucAle, a jewel in the city's Italian restaurant scene, has introduced a refreshed menu this spring, blending traditional Italian flair with contemporary dining. In a nod to sustainability, the restaurant now offers half portions of its famed Salumi and Formaggi selections, including the Burrata Deliziosa and the LucAle “Shovel” of cold cuts, making the Italian dining experience more accessible without the worry of food waste – a problem that plagues the city’s F&B scene with Hong Kong generating an estimated over 1 million tonnes of food waste per year.

“We’re living in such an exciting time to see where restaurants are coming in with different solutions towards sustainability,” explained Carla Martinesi, founder and CEO of the food-saving app CHOMP. “We hope to see more!”

New to LucAle antipasto lineup are premium, seafood-centric dishes like the Hamachi Carpaccio, paired with cucumber, pineapple and lime sorbet for HK$248. Pasta lovers can enjoy the Scialatielli Pasta, featuring black garlic sauce and baby Italian cuttlefish, with a black ink emulsion. The mains section is enhanced with the Pork Chop Milanese and a Basil Crusted Black Cod, both offering a unique take on Italian classics.
