This April, Honjokko and Honjo, two contemporary Japanese eateries in Hong Kong, are celebrating cherry blossom season with special Sakura Dinner Menus, offering diners a taste of Japan's beloved springtime tradition.
Honjokko's Sakura Dinner Menu, available from April 5 - 14, draws inspiration from Tokyo and features a selection curated by Chef Kyle Lee. Starters like Smoked Edamame and Wagyu Tataki in chorizo oil are paired with a welcoming glass of Perrier-Jouët Champagne. This is followed by their Sakura Sushi & Sashimi selection and a Hot Tasty Tokyo course. Finish things off with Sakura Sweets, featuring a Sakura Monaka alongside Chiran Tea Umeshu. Prices start at HK$780 per person, with optional drinks pairing for an additional HK$480.
To continue celebrating the blossoming season, Honjo's menu, served from April 19 - 28, transports guests to Sapporo, showcasing dishes like Yuzu Salmon and Wagyu Tataki, complemented by a curated selection of Japanese sakes and wines. Executive Chef Stephan Joubert crafts each dish to capture Sapporo's unique flavors, offering pairings like Yasakaturu Kame no O Kurabu and Junmai Ginjo. The meal culminates with the Hot Tasty Hokkaido course featuring Sea Bass Misoyaki and Miso Ramen and finishes with Sakura Monaka and Clos-Haut Peyraguey Sauternes 2007 for dessert.
